QASA is the proud owner of a fully accessible house and office in Edenvale, Gauteng, named Dave Lewis Lodge in honour of its former owner, industrial psychologist and quadriplegic Dave Lewis, who sadly passed away last year.
Dave Lewis Lodge provides accommodation for any person looking for an accessible place to stay in Johannesburg, and has the added bonus of having office facilities and a boardroom on the premises. The Lodge is 5 minutes from the airport in Edenvale, and a vehicle with a hand control is also available for hire on request, and is hosted at the airport with Executive Carport.
The guests are looked after by the Lodge housekeeper, who provides a delicious continental breakfast each morning and ensures that everything runs smoothly at the house. The Lodge has five bedrooms, two accessible bathrooms, an outside entertainment area, a swimming pool with a hoist, and a boardroom. The Lodge is very secure, in a gated neighbourhood with 24 hour armed response.
This facility is a first in S.A. as a completely accessible Guest Lodge and meeting facility, and it is ideal for a person with a mobility impairment who needs to be independent and mobile in Johannesburg. QASA, gearing up for 2010!
