Local company Hydrodoor has developed a remote-controlled garage door motor which incorporates a back-up battery. This feature enables the garage door to be opened or closed by remote in the event of a power failure. This is especially useful to disabled drivers whose only access at home is via the garage.
The complete system features a rigid extruded aluminium guide rail available in three lengths, microprocessor control and encoding, self-adjusting obstacle sensor and wireless wall-mounted control console. Hydrodoor also supplies safety beams, receivers, wireless wall consoles and keypads, and key ring gate and door transmitters with an integrated panic button.
