QASA is embarking on a new project to deliver national Care Attendant Training. So often, Care Attendants are not given the knowledge to deliver the best care and training is ignored.
The Care Attendant Training will cover pressure sore prevention, recognition and treatment as well as general care for quadriplegics and paraplegics. Both theory and practical will be covered and trainees will receive a full colour workbook and a certificate upon successful completion of the course.
Although the initial roll out will be targeted at training Care Attendants living in QASA Self Help Centers, those working in homes or working independently are also invited to attend.
The aim of this project is to upskill Care Attendants and ensure health and wellness for quadriplegics & paraplegics who rely on assistants and has been sponsored by The Momentum Fund.
QASA invites anyone who wants their Care workers to attend to contact us.
