The Valentines celebrations at the Ann Harding Cheshire Home in Randburg were unforgettable with lots of action and support from the community! It was also well attended by celebrities from all walks of life, including DJ Fresh.
The guest speaker was Marius Papenfus, captain of the South African Wheelchair Basketball team. He spoke about his team's experiences in Beijing and how to set goals in life and auctioned off an official team T-shirt (signed by the whole team) raising R2000. Team mate, Justin Govender was also there, providing welcome backup and support! Soccer legend, Lucas Radebe, shared his feelings on the importance of helping charities and was a firm favourite with boys and girls alike.
Nandos’ delicious chicken went down very well. Sasol and MTN handed out goodie bags, spoiling the residents with gifts and Rolling Inspiration donated a magazine to each and every resident.
It was a great day and provided excellent exposure with the emphasis on assisting the two Homes in Soweto and Daveyton
