Mandeville Lions welcome sponsorships

Mandeville Lions, the recently formed wheelchair rugby team from Gauteng will be competing in the national league thanks to a generous sponsorship from Bruma Auto in Johannesburg.

At a recent event held at the Mandeville Sports Club, Bruma Auto dealer principal Vince Vermaak handed over a cash sponsorship, along with much needed kits consisting of T-Shirts, tracksuits and jackets to the team. Vermaak said that it was an absolute honour and privilege to be involved with the Mandeville Lions and looked forward to a winning year.

Convener of the Mandeville Lions, Lawrence Levinsohn said that the sponsorship would go a long way towards ensuring that the newly formed club will become a force to be reckoned with.

While the team practice twice a week and have already competed in a tournament, new members need resources such as wheelchairs, training equipment, kits and travel assistance to continue playing in tournaments around the country.

Bruma Auto’s Vince Vermaak seals the deal with the Mandeville Lions captain and Andy Scott, COO for the Sports Trust.
